Merging Movement with Mental Wellness: A Journey of Healing
I have dedicated my life to the art of dance. Before beginning my graduate studies, I spent more than 20 years as the owner and director of a thriving dance studio. Running the studio wasn’t just about teaching dance — it was about building a business, leading a team, and creating a community where students and families felt supported. That experience continues to inform the way I approach counseling, movement, and coaching today. In 2022, I shifted my focus to the intersection of the neuroscience of movement and mental health. Today, I blend my experience as a professional dancer and studio owner with my passion for helping people achieve emotional balance and personal growth.
Currently a MA candidate at Rider University, specializing in clinical mental health with a focus on dance/movement and psychomotor therapy, I approach wellness through a unique lens. I believe the mind and body are inseparable, and to truly thrive, we must nurture both.

I use movement as both a clinical tool and a personal practice. Stress and anxiety can trap the nervous system in survival mode, but research shows that intentional movement regulates cortisol, activates the parasympathetic system, and restores balance.
Movement doesn’t have to mean exercise—it can be dance, gardening, or baking bread. Each creates space for release and repair, shifting the body from fight-or-flight into rest-and-digest. With over 20 years in dance education and current training in clinical mental health counseling and dance/movement therapy, I bring this integration of science and practice to support resilience and healing.
Move Well to regulate. Get Dirty to grow.
